Thursday, September 2nd

The final day of the Convention started off with visits to six state caucus groups. First was New Hampshire followed by my home state of Arizona. Then it was on to Oregon, Ohio, Oklahoma, and California. It was good to speak with the delegates of each of these states, as they will all play such an important role in the outcome of the election.

Later in the day, I was interviewed by my friend Jon Stewart for his "Daily Show" on Comedy Central. It is always such a pleasure to speak with Jon. If you have seen his show, you can probably understand how there is no such thing as a boring visit with Jon Stewart. His unique perspective on politics entertains so many people. It sure was fun to be a part of his show during the Convention.

Tonight, along with lots of other supporters at Madison Square Garden, I watched President Bush address the Convention and officially accept the Republican Party’s nomination. I sat on the floor with the Arizona delegation which was very special for me. The enthusiasm of the crowd was exciting as we wrapped up the final night of the Convention, energized to work hard towards victory in November.

This is the last installment from the Republican National Convention. Thank you for following the Senator in his travels.
